Nikos Oikonomopoulos talks to tralala.gr (Part 3)

Image
Nikos Oikonomopoulos recently gave his interview to the journalist Sofia Bekiari (Tralala.gr) in his dressing room at the nightclub FEVER. You're one of these rare artists to record nowadays the full length albums. How easy it is and how much work is needed for that? It’s not only me involved.  There is a company behind me to produce it.  I work well with businessman Thanasis Papageorgiou, with whom we are together for 6 years. There are many factors for making the songs, including the people to deliver the songs. When you have good songs and good equipment you will put them on your CD, to give it to the people to listen to. What can you do? One song to give? I  think it is very poor and it is not nice. So if things go like that , then I do not know where we will end up. It is something which none of us has experienced earlier. As for the authors, do you like to work with people who you know, so success to come a little easier? I love working with people who so far ha...

Nikos Oikonomopoulos recently gave his interview to the journalist Sofia Bekiari (Tralala.gr) in his dressing room at the nightclub FEVER. Have you ever been told that you are thinking too highly of yourself? Is it possible that no one is saying that, if to remember, as I told you, that the world is full of evil people ?  Certainly I have been. However, I do not get angry, because I know myself that I have never bothered anyone and my conscience is quiet. And if you find one saying it, let him come  and tell me face to face. How easy is it for you to deal with all these things in your mind and to be comfortable with yourself? All the people are different. Not everybody can think like Oikonomopoulos. I have my own way of thinking, of doing what i do. I am like that, I can’t change and become something else. What do you think about the political situation in the country? It’s a mess! What can I see? Is it anything good there|? Who is to be blamed? The only thing I can s...

Nikos Oikonomopoulos recently gave his interview to the journalist Sofia Bekiari (Tralala.gr) at his dressing room at the nightclub FEVER. Part 1 Niko, this year we see you at “Fever”  having an interesting collaboration with Stamatis Gonidis. How do you feel working together? I love him very much both as a person and as an artist! Regarding the professional connection he is one of the people who believed in and loved me from the start. Personally we're friends, even though we do not hang out every day, but whenever we find an opportunity we talk to each other. What  can expect those who choose to see the show at “Fever”? Stamatis and I sing laika songs as  people do not expect to hear something different from us both. Katerinoula (Katerina Stikoudi), which is a very nice and remarkable girl, creates her own special part of the program, a pop song. There is no arrogance there and I’d say that we do very well ... we really are very good together! Both Katerina and St...

Two songs by George Sabanis in the new album of Nikos Oikonomopoulos "Ennoeitai"

In his new album “Ennoeitai” (EMI, Greece, 2012),   Nikos Oikonomopoulos continued his cooperation with the talented young composer George Sabanis , which has began a year earlier and has brought to the previous four times platinum album of the most talented laiko singer of a new generation two masterpieces, written on the words by Eleni Giannatsoulia, a fabulous poet- lyricist.  This time Sabanis  took for his compositions the lyrics by two other big masters of the song genre: Niki Papateochari and Nikos Gritsis . Both of these tracks were immediately appreciated by the public, especially after the first live performances. “Melancholia mou” (My melancholy) , from the very beginning charms you with its unusual instrumental intro. This zeibekiko is written with the transparent polyphonic texture of the most modern sound. The impressive melody begins unusually low to ascend to the top. In the words emerged from the pen of Niki Papatheochari, there is a subtly des...

The famous singer was talking to the TV Magazine “Tiletheatis” on the occasion of the release of his new album “Ennoeitai” Nikos Oikonomopoulos (Νίκος Οικονομόπουλος) spoke about his new CD with love, describing it as one of the most comprehensive works he has ever done. “Ennoeitai” is versatile, because we found very nice songs for it and because I like to connect my thoughts with the thoughts of others. Each new album is a collection of experiences from which you learn. " When being asked "if it feels heavy load for everybody waiting that long for a moment of success," he replied: "These are the rules of the game in our work. When you exist in show business and want to be a star naturally there should be expectations” Regarding the "strong" partnerships he had so far in his career, such as with Giannis Parios, Stamatis Gonidis and Despina Vandi, he said: "The truth is that I was fortunate in my collaborations. Each of these was a happy ...
